Lonavala is a famous hill station near Mumbai, surrounded by lush green valleys, The Bhaja and Karla Caves are historical Buddhist temples made of rocks. It has large pillars and complex relief sculptures. At the south side of the Bhaja Caves is the impressive Lohagad Fort, with its 4 gates and there is a Bhushi dam on the west side, where water flows on a set of feet during the rainy season.

Pawna Dam
Pawna Dam is based near Lohagad, it is one of the most beautiful places to visit near Lonavala. This dam is constructed over the Pavna River, This is an important development in the case of its importance for agricultural produce of land.

Visapur fort
Another important spot in Lonavala is Visapur Fort. Visapur fort is based on hill above 1084 meters from the sea level, located near Visapur Village, Maharashtra. It is a part of the Lohagad-Visapur fort. It is located 9 to 10 km from the Malawi railway station, out of which 5km is a walking road.

Rajmachi fort
Rajmachi fort is on the top of the list of must visit places in Lonavala. It is one of the most visited historical forts and consists of two twin forts, Srivardhan Ballekilla and Manarjan Ballekilla. Located over a furious hill in Sahyadri mountain.

Lohagad Fort (best for one day trek)
Lohagad Fort also known as Iron Fort is one of the many hill forts in Maharashtra. Situated near Lonavala. Tikona Fort
Tikona or Vitandgad is the dominant hill fort after Rajmachi in Lonavala. This place is also a favourite destination of trekkers, The nearest village to the fort is Tikona Peth. The 3500 feet high mountain is like a pyramid in the shape and it's name is Tikona means "triangular''.

Shirota Lake, Lonavala (famous for camping)

Kamshet

Koraigad Fort
Koraigad fort is a fort on the hill situated around 20 km south of Lonavla in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The construction date of this fort is not known but most likely to built in 1500. This is located approximately 923m above the sea level.

Bushi Dam
The Bhushi Dam is a located on the Indrayani River in Lonavala, Maharashtra, India. Bushi Dam was built in the 1860s as the energy source for the Great Indian Peninsular Railway for their steam locomotives. In 2014, Indian Railways announces a plans to develop Bhushi dam with private sector as a tourist resort and now it has gradually turned into a popular tourist destination.

Phanasrai Site is located around 8km from Lonavala City. Phanasrai is a very ideal location for you. Lush greenery, fresh air, beautiful mountain, woodlands and amazing landscape offers you a very memorable experience. This place is also a best destination for overnight camping.

Ekvira Devi Temple
Ekvira Devi Temple is based in Lonavala, near Karla Caves. Ekvira Temple is a Hindu goddess temple especially worshipped by the fisherman which popularly known as Koli people. The temple is situated above a small hill and can be reached by using around 200 stairs. This temple was built by the Pandavas.
