The Pimpalgaon Joga Dam is based on the fascinating Pushpawati River. This 5 km long dam is one of the major attractions in Malshej Ghat. Here you can see several migratory birds like flamingos and other birds like Whistling Thrush, Alpine Swift, Purple Moorhead, Pied Crusted Cuckoo and Quail. This dam is a favourite place for birdwatchers. 

Trek to Harishchandragad Fort
Malshej Ghat tour is incomplete without trekking on Harishchandragad Fort, this 6th century fort situated above 1,424 metres of sea level. Many devotees come here to worship Lord Vishnu in a beautiful carved Vishnu temple. Other important attraction is the Buddhist cave which is located near Harishchandragarh Fort.

Malshej Ghat doesn't have any railway station, but, Kalyan Jn is the closest railway station to reach malshej Ghat. Some local transportation system are available at the railway station.

By Air
The nearest airport is Mumbai, At the airport, you can hire private taxis or cabs to reach Malshej Ghat.

By Road
