Stakna Monastery is situated on a deserted rock at an altitude of 60 meters. This place is situated 25 kilometers from Leh, whose beauty is unmatched. The monastery was founded by Od-Ide in the 11th century. This monastery still shows the tradition and culture of the 11th century and it is also known as the Tiger nose monastery because the stone on which it is located is seen to be like a tiger's nose.
Festivals
Ladakh is the land of snow mountains. Various festivals are celebrated in this area, one of which is Loser, is celebrated in the month of December. Also here is the main annual festival of Hemis Gompa, which is called Hemis Tsechu in Ladakh. The Hemis festival is celebrated in the fifth month of Buddhist calendar every year at the Hemis Monastery, which located on approximately 45 kilometers from Leh. The center of attraction in this festival is mask dance (dance by wearing a mask). This mask dance is mainly presented by Chams. The Nubra valley, which was originally known as the 'Valley of flowers', which is located at a height of 10,000 feet above sea level. This area is known as the garden of Ladakh. During the summer days, tourists get a chance to see the pink and yellow roses, which grow in this area. To reach the Nubra valley, tourists must take Khardung La Pass road from Leh, which is the highest point in the world.

The Leh Palace is a former royal Palace of Ladakh was built by the King Singe Namgyal in the 16th century. Here you can see pictures related to the life of Lord Buddha. The palace building is like the Potala Palace in Lhasa, which is in Tibet.
