Netherlands is located in northwestern Europe and it known for its beautiful tulip garden, landscape, canals, windmills and routes for cycling. The Capital of Netherland is Amsterdam, which is a home of the Rijks museum and Van Gogh Museum. Netherland is a small country based among Belgium and Germany in Western Europe. If the Dutch had not built defense system to protect their land, then the North Sea would have washed away the Netherlands. The Dutch have created a series of canals, dams and pumping stations to keep their country safe from the sea and rivers.

1. Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the most famous tourist destination in Europe, it is mostly known for its lifestyle, artistic heritage, canal systems and nightlife. There are over 1500 amazing monumental buildings and travelers spend lots of their time to exploring the cities and marvelous museums. The Anne Frank House and Rijksmuseum Museum are the most famous historical places to visit in Amsterdam, while the Prinsengracht area is the best places for shopping, pub crawling, and for the unique coffee shops. Cycling is a key feature of the city and there are numerous special paths for cycling.

2. Leiden
Leiden is a beautiful picturesque city in the Dutch province of South Holland (Netherland). It is a great place to visit for its ancient architecture, tree-lined canals, lush gardens, wooden bridges and for Leiden University. The De Lakenhal Museum displays works of many Dutch Masters including Rembrandt, who was born in Leiden. A boat ride in one of these beautiful canals makes your journey unforgettable, the Hortus Botanicus offers the world’s oldest academical observatory and amazing botanical gardens. Visitors can also experience the beautiful 16th century architecture of the St. Peter church.

3. Delft
Delft is a canal surrounded city located in the west Netherland. It is famous for the manufacturing base of Delftware, hand-painted white and blue pottery. The old town Oude Kerk is the birth place of Dutch Master painter Johannes Vermeer. This beautiful town is an ideal destination for a day trip or vacation, if you don't like the crowded streets of Amsterdam. Popular sites include The majestic New Church (Nieuwe Kerk), Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles, Old Church (Oude Kerk), The Prince's Court and Prinsenhof Museum, Delft City Hall (Stadhuis), The Old Canal (Oude Delft), The Eastern Gate (Oostpoort) and many more.

4. The Hague
The Hague city is based on the North Sea coast of the west Netherland. Well known for the art exhibitions at the Gemeente museum Den Haag and the Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis, Gothic-style Binnenhof complex and 16th century Noordeinde Palace is the king’s workplace. The city is also a home of the U.N.’s International Court of Justice based in the Peace Palace, and the International Criminal Court. Other attractions in The Hague is a 19th century Panorama Mesdag where you can see 360 degree panoramic view of the Scheveningen Sea.

5. Maastricht
Maastricht is the city of university based on the southern shore of the Netherland, well known for its dynamic city square, the Vrijthof, Saint Servatius Church, the Saint Jan’s Cathedral, the old fortifications and Vestigingswerkens, are some famous attractions for visitors in Maastricht. This city also boasts some amazing cafes, bars, art galleries and shops. The St. Pietersberg Caves and the oldest surviving town gate Helpoort are some other popular attractions in Maastricht.
