The most largest cargo ships in the world

A cargo ship or container ship is a transportation ship or vessel that used to carries cargo, goods and materials from one port to another. Thousands of cargo ship carriers run in the seas and oceans of the world each year, handling the bulk of international trade. There are six types of ships run into the sea : Normal cargo ships, bulk carriers, fishing ships, container ships, passenger ships, and tanker ship.

ASO Atlantic
ASO Atlantic is one of the major cruise ships in the history of the world, it was launched in 1977, its length exceeded 406 meters and it grows with the excellent speed of 15.6 knots. It is basically an oil tanker used to transfer oil.

Betulus Class
It was one of those cruise ships, which were made in the early 1970's, the tallest in the world with a total size greater than 414 meters.

Pierre Guillaumat
Pierre Guillaumat was made in 1977, created by the Chantier DL ​​Atlantic in St. Nazir. Its weight was approximately 555,000 tonnes, length was about 414 meters and it run with 16.4 sea speed.

Seawise Giant
The total length of this cruise is 458 meters and it floats with a total speed of 16.8 knots, this ship started its journey during the war of Iran and Iraq.

Prelude FLNG
Prelude FLNG is the world's first cruise on the floating liquefied natural gas platform, it is made with over 260,000 tons steel. Its length is 488 meters, 74 meters wide, so large material has been used in the construction of this vessel.

Danish shipping giant, Madrid Maersk, was the biggest cargo ship in the world until the OOCL Hong Kong. This ship had surpassed MOL Triumph in the list when it cruised for the first time. This Triple-E class vessel was Built by the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering shipyard, it has the 20,568 capacity of TEUs.

MOL Triumph
MOL Triumph is third largest cargo ship in the world, owned by Japanese shipping operator Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. MOL Triumph measures 58.8m in width and 32.8m in depth, the weight of this ship is 192,672 DWT.

OOCL Hong Kong
OOCL Hong Kong is the largest cargo ship ever built, it is the newest cargo ship of the Chinese shipping company OOCL (Orient Overseas Container Line), based at the first position in the world’s biggest cargo ships list. This 399.87 meters long ULCV (Ultra Large Container Vessel) was built by the Samsung heavy industries which crossed the 21,000 mark and has a capacity to carrying around 21,413 TEU.

MSC ANNA
MSC ANNA is one of the largest Container Ship sailing under the flag of Liberia. It is Operated by MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co and built by Hyundai in 2016. The overall length of MSC ANNA is 399.98 m, beam is 58.6 m and maximum draught is 30.5 m. The capacity of container is 19368 TEU.
