Dudhsagar Waterfalls - one of the best destination to visit in Goa

Dudhsagar Falls is four tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in Goa. It is located on the Madgaon - Belagavi railway route at about 46 kilometers east of Madgaon and 80 kilometers south of Belagavi and 60 kilometers from Panaji by road. This is one of the most beautiful location and famous tourist spot near Goa, lots of travelers comes here to see this natural beauty. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in India, the height of this falls is 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 100 feet. When the water falls from that height it looks like a milk falling from the top.

Dudhsagar Waterfall is located in the Sanguem, Goa and it comes under the control of Goa Forest departments, this waterfall is a part of Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. If you want to go their, you can go by road or using rail to Kulem railway station and then you need to trek to the waterfall or you can also hire a jeep with a driver to get closer of it.

The perfect time to visit this waterfalls is During monsoon, because that time they are in their most active phase of flow and this is the time you could witness this beautiful milky water of nature.

How to Reach Dudhsagar Waterfalls
By Air: Panaji airport is the closest airport of Dudhsagar, it located at only 60 km distance  from the waterfalls. Taxies and buses are available from Panaji to reach here.

By Rail: Dudhsagar is a station of Konkan Railway, but no trains formally halt here. They only stop for a few minutes to check their engine technicalities and breaks. The Collem is nearest station of this waterfall, taxies are available from there. The distance between Collem and Dudhsagar waterfall is only 6 km. Most of the tourist use train journey to enjoy the marvelous sight of this waterfalls.

By Road: Dudhsagar Falls is reached by road using NH4A highway. There are also few buses which run by Goa tourism, the private tour operators are also run buses with covering some fixed spots, Dudhsagar is one of them. The Jeeps can be used to rich through the base of waterfalls but only in January to May, because that time the level of water is low.

The are some resorts and guest houses are available for you on the NH4A highway near College. The tourists are need to makes their booking in advance to get rid of further difficult. There are also some Private cottages available on a rent for the tourists, where you can enjoy the nature and get a chance to spot the different species of flora and fauna.
