How to change JioFi router password | WiFi network SSID | Login Credentials

Jio is a Indian mobile network operator company and JioFi router or Jio router is a small portable router made by this company which is best for travelers, you can use this device to create portable wifi hotspot and connect your other devices to the Internet by using it's hotspot. If you are a Jio user, you will definitely know about the JioFi 4G Hotspot. This device comes along with a Jio SIM which provides 4G internet speeds on any of your device, like mobile phone, tablet, laptop or a smart TV. If you want these devices you can buy it online or offline mode.

If you are already user of JioFi device, then these are a few things which you should do it with your JioFi device to make it secure. I personally suggest you to don't share your router password with anyone and in any case if you share your password with someone and now if you want to change your JioFi password, then I will show you the process of changing Jiofi device password. These are the steps for customize your JioFi device and make some changes in it to make it secure from others.

The first thing you have to do is switch on your JioFi device by holding down the button. If you forgot the name of JioFi’s WiFi network and its password, you can find it on the back of the packaged box, or under the battery at the back of the device.

Now connect your JioFi device to your smartphone or a laptop by searching available Wi-Fi network

After successfully connected your device to JioFi 4G Hotspot device, you have to Access the configuration interface on your browser. For this, open the URL http://jiofi.local.html or http://192.168.225.1 on your Web browser. This will directly take you to the configuration page where you can manage or customize the JioFi’s device settings.

After opening the configuration interference site you have to Login to the interface, for this you need username and password. Type the username as administrator and password also as administrator and click on the login button to proceed. Now you might be asked to change the default administrator password. Click on OK button to change your device password.

Now this is the main process to Change your JioFi 4G Hotspot password.

To change the WiFi password, click on Network tab > Go to Wi-Fi Configuration > click on Secure key (in some models).

Now you have to choose your new password for JioFi device, choose the strong password to make your device more secure and click on the save Settings button.

Above process helps you to keep your JioFi device secure from others, but here you can also have a option to change the name of your Wi-Fi network. Normally, when you search for your JioFi device name on your smartphone to connect with hotspot, it will show you a complex model number of your device. But you can change it to your name or some other fancy name.

This is a process for changing the JioFi’s network name (SSID)

Click on Network tab > Go to Wi-Fi Configuration. Now make some changes to your Network Name (SSID) field. Change the device name with your name or give some fancy type name to your device and click on Save button to proceed. After doing this you might need to reconnect your device to the JioFi, in case, if your device is disconnected.

Here you can also Change your JioFi’s login ID and password, it is very important to change your JioFi router Login ID and password to make your device more secure. Because, Administrator is a common username and password for all JioFi devices, if anyone connected to your JioFi router, that can easily access configuration interference site by using administrator as a username and password to change your JioFi 4G Hotspot device settings. So, it is very important to change your JioFi device Login username and password to keep your device secure from others.

Any JioFi user can change their JioFi device login ID and password using this process to keep the device secure from others, for doing this click on User Management > go to Account Management. Now you have to enter your new username and password for login next time, confirm once again and Click on the Save button, now you successfully changed your login credentials for your JioFi 4G Hotspot device.
