What is Times Square in New York? | Things to do in Times Square

The Times Square in NYC (New York) is the most famous attractions for visitors in America. Anytime you visit here, you can see something different and entertaining events happening here everyday. Lots of people come at this place from different parts of the world to show their talent and watch others talent. This place is a Theater District of New York and a heart of Midtown West. Times Square is not a square. It is a four quarters created where 7th Ave and Broadway intersects in Manhattan. Here you can see energetic crowds everyday under the flashing lights of towering digital billboards in New York city of America. Locals and tourists both come here to enjoy their weekend or holiday. Times Square is the most busiest place with 42nd Street, chain stores and restaurants abound. This attractive Square is also a home of MTV's and ABC's headquarters and the 'Good Morning America' show is broadcast here in front of a live audience.

There are many popular attractions in or near Times Square, like Top of the Rock and Madame Tussauds museum. Times Square is very easy to  access by subways and buses. Use Google map to get the directions from your starting point to Times Square if you are new here. Anyone can spend some hours in Times Square for shopping, watching events and the billboards and most of the street in times square are packed with free entertainers as well. You can also look yourself through the real-time webcam of 47th Street and Broadway.

The Duffy Square is located in the center of Times Square based in a small square area which specially designed for sitting, eating or watching the invigorating energy of Times Square. Duffy Square is named on Father Francis Duffy, which was a New York priest and soldier gives his service in World War 1 and the Spanish American War. His monument is created in the center of red. There are wrought iron chairs, tables and stadium for seating where people from all over the world sit to relax and see the flashy billboards. This is a perfect place to stop for rest in Times Square, which occupies the two blocks between 45th and 47th Streets at the corner of Broadway Avenue.
