Dadar Beach in Mumbai


Dadar Chowpatty beach is a small and less crowded rocky beach with little sand around. People comes here to enjoy silence, breeze, sunset view and the giant view of Bandra Worli Sea Link bridge. Dadar beach is scenic with couple of attractions
frequently visited by locals, it is walkable distance from shivaji park.

How to reach?
Dadar Beach is 15min Walking distance from Dadar Railway Station.

Dadar is also very famous for Maharashtrian food like Vada Pav, Batata Vada, Misal Pav, Thalipith, Sabudana Vada, Usal Pav, Lassi, Puri Bhaji, Pithla Bhakri, and Piyush (a sweet drink) There are many restaurants that serve Maharashtrian food. These include Prakash Hotel, Aaswad Hotel, Sindhudurg Hotel, Gomantak Hotel and Panshikar for Sweets.
        Also, the Mumbai's first Titan watches showroom was opened in Dadar in 1989. Dadar Chaitya Bhoomi, is the place were the last rites of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar performed. On December 6 there is a huge ceremony in his memory. In Dadar also has the Institute Of Hotel Management (IHM, Mumbai). Dadar is home to the famous  playground "shivaji Park" and it has been home to some best cricketers in the world. Including sunil gawaskar and sachin tendulkar, also this ground is famous as the Cricket Education ground  many cricketer's have been trained here. Shivaji Park Residential area is a predominantly upper middle class residential zone. Dadar area was known as lower Mahim in the 16th century, as it was located on the island of mahim which is one of the seven island of mumbai.
      Also "portuguese church" is the famous landmark in dadar, the portuguese franciscans built this church here in 1596. Dadar flower market is one of the most famous flower market in Mumbai, fragrance of orchids and chrysanthemums flower brings you back to life. Dadar flower market based on outside of dadar railway station, under the flyover. In dadar flower market sells flowers that have been sourced from different parts of Mumbai and even outside the city. This flower market available only in morning till 9 a.m. If you want to find colorful fragrant and rare varieties of flowers at rock-bottom prices make a morning trip before 9 a.m.
      Dadar street market is best place for shopping in dadar, This is one of the busy and crowded market in Mumbai. This is a wholesale market,so you can buy commodities in bulk quantities. By lanes has many shops and restaurants. Many food stalls are seen on streets. Taking your car is not advisable since getting parking is very difficult. the place is nice and you can get fresh stock. also you can visit The "Sidhhivinayak Temple", it is the most famous temple in Mumbai and highly worshipped across Mumbai....can't miss in your Mumbai visit. Lord Ganesha in Mumbai's favorite God and you can't miss this temple if you are site seeing in Mumbai....more than hundred year olds and you will find its crowded on Tuesdays and Chaturthi....in Ganesh Festival......you will have to wait for more than 24 hrs to get the glimpses of God...unless you are VIP. Try and be there during the afternoon arti time.... you can participate in the arti and have good darshan of the Lord Ganesha..._/\_....
