Sidhhivinayak Temple in Mumbai


The shree sidhhivinayak ganapati mandir is a hindu temple didicated to hindus god shree ganesh is located in prabhadevi, mumbai, maharashtra. This temple is One of the most beautiful temples in mumbai. It was built by laxman vishnu and deubai patil on 19 November 1801 and now it is one of the richest temple in mumbai. The door of sidhhivinak mandir is made by wood with carved images of Ashtvinayak Because, this temple is one part of the Ashtvinayak Temples that are located in and around Pune.
      Sidhhivinayak ganapati is popularly known as "navsacha ganapati". The sidhhivinayak temple receives donations around 100 (1.6 million USD) to 150 (2.4 million USD) million rupees every year. Every day, over 35,000 devotees meet this temple to offer their prayers and seek the blessings of Lord Ganesh and on tuesday it goes to 80,000 to 1,00,000. because, tuesday is very important day for puja and darshan at this place. Many bollywood celebrities come here to visit this devine place to seek blessing before the launch of their new film or anytime. This temple is a best location for tourist who visit mumbai.
     Inside the temple their is a small hall or 'mandapam' where Lord Ganesh is placed. The gabhara is about 10 feet wide that cover the idol of lord ganesh and this idol of lord ganesh is kept in a brass frame. it is about 3 feet tall and 2.5 feet wide. The idol also has his consorts ridhhi & sidhhi sitting on his laps and two large silver mice statues can also be found inside the temple because, mice is the vehicle of lord ganesha, visitor can whisper their wishes into the ear of the mouse and that wish are passed on to shree ganesha who fullfills it. while many hindu temple only allow hindus to enter but, this temple welcomes everyone with its open door policy and a large number of people visit this temple to offer their prayers, anyone who visit this temple will surely admire its devine architecture.
      When you visit the temple, the most important thing is to be clean and dress respectfully, that covers the legs and shoulder. Before entering the temple, everyone is required to undergo the necessary security checks, then remove your shoes and give them to the clerk at the counter for safe keeping.

Kakad Aarti - The early morning prayer: at 5.30 a.m. to 6.00 a.m.
Shree Darshan - morning at 6.00 a.m. to afternoon 12.15 p.m.
Naivedhya - afternoon at 12.15 p.m. to afternoon 12.30 p.m.
Shree Darshan - afternoon at 12.30 p.m. to evening 7.20 p.m.
Aarti -Evening - The evening Prayer : 7.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m
Shree Darshan - at 8.00 p.m. to 9.50 p.m
Shejaarti - The last Aarti of the day before bedtime : night 9.50 p. m. (The Temple is fully closed till next morning after 'Shejaarti'.)
Tuesday Timing
Shree Darshan - The early morning darshan: 3.15 a.m. to 4.45 a.m.
Kakad Aarti - The early morning prayer: 5.00 a.m. to 5.30 a.m.
Shree Darshan - morning at 5.30 a. m. to afternoon 12.15 p.m.
Naivedhya - afternoon at 12.15 p.m. to afternoon 12.30 p.m.
Shree Darshan - afternoon at 12.30 p.m. to night 8.45 p.m.
Aarti - Night Prayer :Night at 9.30 p.m. to night 10.00 p.m.
Shejaarti - The last Aarti of the day before bedtime : night 12.30 a. m. (The temple doors remain closed after shejaarti)
Temple door are close For Ganesh Pooja, Aarti at night 8.45 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. by that time Ganesha Darshan will be posible from a far distance.
How to reach?
By Road
You can take taxis or auto-rickshaws to reach here easily and Many BEST buses are also available that would take you to the temple in prabhadevi.
By Train
Dadar is the nearest railway station from Sidhhivinayak Temple. one can board local trains from Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel and Elphinstone Road to reach this holy temple.
