Ganapatipule is a small village located on konkan coast in ratnagiri district of maharashtra. Ganapatipule is famous for its 400 year old Swayambhaoo (a naturally formed idol) ganesh Temple and also for one of the most spectacular white sand beach beaches along the Konkan Coast. Two grand festivals are celebrated every year, one is Bhadrapad ganesh Chaturthi and another is Magh Chaturthi (Vianayaki Chaturthi). The development of ganapatipule is done by grampanchayat.
      This is very renowned tourist destination in Ratnagiri. A number of resorts and hotels  are available in this small town. ganapatipule's Distance from Ratnagiri is 15-20 kms. There is pleasant seashore with scenic plantation of cypress trees. You can see a panoramic view of beautiful seashore up to Kotwade at one side, seashore of Malgund Varawade at other side of Ganpatipule from the hill behind the temple. ganapatipule is an ideal destination for peace-seekers and beach lovers.
      Ganapatipule is a small village, sedate and unspoiled. With its clean beach and clear waters, Ganapatipule is rich in flora, including coconut trees and mangroves. Also you can visit some best places nearby ganapatipule like Kotwade, Malgund, Jaigad, Ganeshgule, Tivari Port, Kolisare.
      Ratnagiri is a district of maharashtra state located on konkan coast. This is the place where great freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak was born. You can visit his house which called as a "Tilak Smarak" and also you can visit Patit Pawan Mandir. It was the first temple built for the non-Brahmins by Swatantryaveer Savarkar.

Malgund
Just a few kilometer away from Ganapatipule, Malgund village is the birthplace of the famous Marathi Poet "Keshavsoot". This small and beautiful village is renovated and converted house of the poet, now a student's hostel.

Pawas
Pawas village is naturally beautiful and serene. The place is also prominent for ashram of Swami Swaroopanand (a spiritual leader).

Jaigad Fort
This fort stands high and proud on the cliff with a amezing view of the sea. The fort is based at the entrance of the Sangameshwar river and is 35 km from Ganapatipule.

Velneshwar
This dreamy village located around 170 kms from Ratnagiri. it is the best place for water sports. Also an old Shiva temple near Velneshwar is a best place for tourist.
Also the Marleshwar temple and waterfall is best place to visit near ratnagiri it is around 60 km from Ganapatipule.

The MTDC resort is best sea facing resort with slope of a green hillock. Sea view cottages, tents and Konkani houses are also available (But its not rented out during the monsoons).
